Good Morning!  It is with great sadness that I am here to share the very last MTME Pretty Pattern with you.    Please do not be confused, My Time Made Easy is still in full swing but the decision was made to shut down both the Pretty Pattern and Pretty Palette challenges due to the decline in participation.

We have a pretty easy sketch, so much room to keep it CAS or really dress it up.  I kept it very simple and very true to the sketch....

This is Thank You Turtle (colored) - he's so happy!  And the colors are so bright, I feel happy, too.

I'm going to keep my post short today.  I wish you a fabulous Monday.

Just playing around...

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday to you.  It's gray and rainy... and muggy here in sunny Florida.  A perfect day to stay inside and at the craft table.  This is my 2nd post today, please be sure to scroll down to my Scor-Pal post.

I created this card to share another new digi available at Fun 'n Flair.  This sweet little owl is adorable and I had much fun playing with him.  I created my card to play along with a couple of favorite challenges, too.  First of all, The Kraft Journal (white on kraft) and a great layout from Clean & Simple.

This was such an easy card to put together, I guess that's why it's clean and simple, right?  He's got such a goofy look on his face, you can't help but smile.

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your Sunday.

40 Baby Favors, Scor-Pal to the Rescue!

Hello everyone.  I am sharing my MONUMENTAL project with you today.  And let me tell you, I was thrilled that I had my Scor-Pal - it really did come to my rescue.

My friend at work is due to have a sweet baby girl in about 4 weeks so, my friend Evelyn and I set out to make the favors for her shower, which was yesterday.  Well, I ended up making all 40 of them by myself, Evelyn got really sick.  I found this great SVG box from a sweet little shop that I can't find at the moment.  I'm pathetic, I know.  Anyway, once I got it sized down to what I wanted, I was thrilled to discover that it fit on my Scor-Pal with only 1 adjustment needed.  Wow!  What a time saver.

So here is the front of the favor box.  I added an umbrella which was cut from Die-Namics Umbrella die.  The just dressed up the handle with a bit of ribbon.  I used glue to stick on the umbrella, but I did use Scor-Tape to adhere the box.

This is what it looks like on the side.  Cute right?  You have no idea how relieved I was to see this box fit into my Scor-Pal.  I was able finish 40 favors within the time it took to watch Phantom of the Opera and Memoirs of Geisha.  Mommy-to-be and friends LOVED them!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

TPE Scrapbook Challenge Saturday

Hi Everyone!  I am so happy that the weekend is here.  I have a real quick post for you today to share this week's challenge for TPE Scrapbook Challenge.  I am off to do a bit of shopping, I need new unmentionables and then I'm off to a baby shower.

This week we're adding banners to our pages.  Now, when you look at my page you may ask yourself where my banners are....

A-ha!  I'm glad you asked.  Banners can take on many different looks.  Mine took the form of items hanging on a laundry line.  It's time (passed time) to send this sweet set back to Raisin Boat.  I've held onto for 2 months of rent cycles.  Haha!

Isn't that cute?  And the saying.... yep, a baby hangs onto your heart forever.  This is my son Brendan at about 3 or 4 months old.  This adorable baby boy will be 18 in two weeks.  Ack!!

I did base the layout on a great sketch by I {Heart} Sketches.

Alrighty, I'm off to Dillards... or Macy's or somewhere.

Chevron & Scor-Pal

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share something I've discovered how to make.  I was inspired by a scrapbooking blog I happened upon and of course, now I can't find.  However, directions weren't posted on how to use a Scor-Pal to create chevrons, so I played.  I have figured out  how to make this super easy design element to add to your cards and pages and I'm excited to share it with you.  Here's my finished project....

And the chevron, up close.  Make a bunch of these... layer them up.  Trust me, they'll look fabulous!

Here's how to do it:

Step one:  Score a 1" x 11" lengthwise at 1/2"

Step two:  rotate and score every 1/2"

Step 3 Now you're going cut out your chevron.  Using each box you created with the score lines, you are going to cut out triangles.  The score lines give you perfect guidelines.  See diagram below:

Step 4 Voila!  You have a chevron border.  You can make these any size you want, just make sure you're scoring evenly.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I would love to see your projects that you've added your chevron borders to.

Here's the order of the hop, just in case your stopping by to visit me, not knowing there is a hop....

My card is also for this week's challenge for Fun 'n Flair.  We're making shaped cards.

The sentiment is from It's All About Love set, it does actually say Hugs and Kisses & Valentine Wishes.  I cut the valentine part off.  I just love the handwritten parts of the sentiments in this set!  Then on the inside I did a handwritten message that says "Best Birthday Wishes" - I didn't picture it because, well, because my handwriting bites.

Enjoy the hop... play along with us at Fun 'n Flair and most of all I hope you have a great Friday!  Your next stop on the hop is Karina Minteer.

Fun 'n Flair Feature

Hello Everyone!  I'm here with another fun use of the fabulous sentiments set It's All About Love available at Fun 'n Flair.  Now that Valentine's Day is behind us, pretty much, it's time to show you where these great sentiments can go.  I've not made it any secret that Valentine's Day isn't my favorite holiday, but I do firmly believe that you should never pass up the opportunity to let someone know how you feel about them.

So I created a tag that can adorn a package, or decorate a few more to make a little mini album to show off some favorite photos of your favorite people.  Or, what I started to do with my tags, is to put little inspirational messages on the back, so whenever one needs a little pick me up - all they need to do is reach for this fun little set of tags - read your message and viola - you've brightened their day!

I also created the tag with The Kraft Journal's challenge in mind - Anything But a Card.  I always make a box or something like that when it comes to these challenges, so I had to try something else.  What do you think?  The Kraft Outlet store carries a great selection of Kraft paper/card stock, tags, twines and all sorts of fun stuff!

I do hope that I've brightened your day a little, too!

Supplies
Stamps:  It's All About Love (FnF), Floral Flourishes (Inkadinkadoo)

Paper:  the Cafe Mediterranean matstack (DCWV), tags (Freckled Fawn)
Tools:  paper crimper, Cuttlebug, dies
Embellishments:  Natural Twine (MFT), button (SEI)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #185

Good Morning!  I hope your week is off to a great start.  We're one day closer to Friday.  This week's sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one was created by Laura.  It's also the Judged Challenge, so we've got an added twist.  I said the other day that I was happy that was my last Valentine's card.  I lied.  I wasn't even thinking about TMS and the twist.  Lovey Dovey.  Yep, that is so not me, but it's not about me, right.

My card is featuring a freebie from Bugaboo.  Now that is a little cupid even I could love!  He looks so dazed and confused... love struck.  NOW this is officially the last VD card you'll see from me.

Head on over to TMS to play along with us.

Fun 'n Flair Monthly Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone!  Another quick post.... I'm almost done with the blanket, so my efforts are going on that and I need to work on other projects.

This card is created with this month's sketch by Selina.  Please visit the blog so you can see the sketch, you'll see I omitted an element.  I just didn't know what to put there.  I am also playing along with The Kraft Journal's challenge - Seeing Red.  And I can proudly say, this will be my last Valentine's Day card share.

I really love this card.  I got my eCraft to work for me which yielded that gorgeous heart.  The sentiment says "My heart throbs when I'm with you."  The deep red color choices are to represent ignited passions and I love that the Love stack by Recollections had Kraft designs, too.  As I said, I am very pleased with my results.

OK, now I've got to get busy on ridding myself of all these hearts and romance.  LOL  My friend Debbie said I am the Grinch of Valentine's Day.  Yes, I am.  But sweet Tammy said I can't be hatin' on Valentine's Day because it's her birthday.  So, I will be nice.  I like Debbie and Tammy.

Oh and... toot toot!  I made top 3 for The Kraft Journal's All Kraft challenge AND I'm a Friday Featured Artist there, too.  Whooo-hooo!!  I am thrilled and so honored and humbled that Beth felt my card worthy.

Have a great Saturday!

Fun 'n Flair Friday Challenge

Hi there!  Happy Friday!  Just a quick post to share this week's challenge at Fun 'n Flair.  This week we're making treat boxes.  Well, I messed up a little.  Even though I wrote down "boxes" I later remembered that as "treats."  So I made Valentine's treats.

So here's a group shot of what I created.  My projects feature Fun 'n Flair's Hugs and Kisses Backgrounds and It's All About Love Sentiments sets.

So this first one I made following a tutorial by Angie Juda.  This sweet little pocket boasts a pull out treat.

See, pull the ribbons up and out comes a sweet surprise.

And next, I made a classic sucker holder, also a tutorial by Angie Juda.

I hope you join us this week.  As I said, short and sweet post.  Enjoy your Friday.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #184

Good Morning!  This is my 2nd post today, please be sure to scroll down for my card share featuring Fun 'n Flair.

The TMS Sketch is up and we have a fabulous sponsor. Freckled Fawn is back with us and the prize is a $20 shopping voucher!  Wow!!

So here's my card, I created this to go along with the baby blanket I've been furiously trying to get done.  My friend had the baby early, she was due this month, but he came last Saturday.  I hope she likes it.

My card is pretty clean and simple and I am so happy with the results.  The washi tape from Freckled Fawn was perfect!  I love the colors, they work for this baby theme but would be perfect for a summer theme, too.  It's easy to use and looks fabulous.  It's a great embellishment that doesn't add bulk.  The stamps are from Raisin Boat.  I'm not a Crew Member anymore (sad face) but that doesn't mean I don't love their stamps anymore.  This set is called Loads of Love.  It also has clouds stamped in the background, which are from Shayla Goes Cupid from Fun 'n Flair.

Supplies
Stamps/Ink:  Loads of Love (Raisin Boat), Shayla Goes Cupid (Fun 'n Flair)
Summer Sky, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Gable Green, Bashful Blue

Tools:  Scor-Pal, Scallop Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug,
Embellishments:  Airmail washi tape (Freckled Fawn), twine (MFT)

Fun 'n Flair Feature

Good Morning everyone!  Actually when this post goes live, I'll still be sleeping.  Yay for sleep!  But since our friends in Australia are mid way thru their day, well, they get to see this before we wake up.

As I said the other day, there has been so much Valentine's Day going on in my craft corner, here's the first one I'll share.  I created this Clean and Simple card to share with the challenge as CAS-ual Fridays in mind.  Selina's It's All About Love sentiment set was perfect for the challenge, Love Letters.  I also feature the cute heart border stamp from Shayla Goes Cupid and I broke a rule of mine.  Selina released two background sets, Hugs and Kisses Background Sets, but I cut the 2nd one up.  I wanted to use these images individually.  I carved out the little kissing lips to pop up above one of the stamped hearts.  My rule:  never alter stamps.  But I did and I am really happy with the results.

To see these sets in all their glory, visit Fun 'n Flair.

Supplies
Stamps:  It's All About Love, Shayla Goes Cupid, Hugs and Kisses (Fun 'n Flair)
Ink:  Ladybug (Memento)
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest.

Kraft on Kraft - Me Likey....

Hi everyone,

This is my 2nd post of the day because I've been enjoying my craft corner.  I've been working on some DT projects to share this week.  I'm super disappointed that my postman didn't bring my package of an item I'm using for my TMS card this week.  I do hope it comes on Monday because I want to show off what our sponsor has to offer.  Anyway... let me show you one that I made today, just because I wanted to make a card for no other reasons than to make it with a couple of challenges.

There is so much Valentine's Day going on in my craft corner, I swear I'm going to start throwing up hearts.  Sorry to put it like that, but everyone knows Valentine's Day is not my thing.  So it was surprising that I reached for a heart punch and saying.  But it worked for me.  Probably because this card, even though it could be given as a Valentine's Day card, I think it just says to someone how they've touched you through a random act of kindness.

So this card is inspired by, well, me.  I made a suggestion over at The Kraft Journal for a challenge to be all Kraft.  Afterall, a WOW card (white on white) seems to be pretty popular, why not a kraft on kraft?  I haven't been over at The Kraft Journal in awhile (sad face) so I went over there today and guess what!  It's my challenge suggestion.  I have to play, right?  And I'm getting this in under the wire.

We also know that I can't make a card without a sketch, so I used the sketch from Unscripted Sketches and put my own twist on it.  Look!  I love this....

The card started out another way and I hated it.  So I chopped it off and came up with this.  I am very happy with it.  I hope you like it, too.

Supplies
Stamps/Ink:  Mixed Messages by Amy R (All That Scraps)
  Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Card stock:  Tiki Hut (Raisin Boat)
Tools:  Scor-Pal, corner rounder, Cuttlebug, Die-Namics Sentiment Strips (MFT), Trellis border punch
Embellishments:  Twine (MFT)

TPE Scrapbook Challenge Saturday

Hi Everyone!  It's a chilly Saturday morning here in Sunny Sanford.  It got cold enough yesterday evening, that I had to turn on the heat for a few minutes to get the chill out of the air.  And my craft corner is a bit drafty.  I know I shouldn't complain, friends and family are in frigid temps and I'm whining about it being 42 degrees.

Anyway, let's get to this week's The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge.  I cannot believe that I forgot to post last week.  I've been really bad about my blog lately.... I am on a mission you know.  I've been trying to put more time in on getting the baby blanket done and I did get all caught up in a book.  Anyway, here's the latest installment to the baby brag book as well as the page I created last week.  Hopefully you saw it on the TPE blog.

This week's challenge is called Lift It.  Meaning, use a previous sketch that you've been inspired by.  I chose to use a sketch from way back on the TPE Blog.  Here's my page....

And this is the sketch I used....

And then here's the page I made last week....

Please join us this week - we still have few players in our Scrapbook challenge.  C'mon - you know you need to get those pictures out of boxes (like me) or create that special gift!

Supplies
Card stock:  White (Recollections), Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Paper:  Bundle of Joy (Echo Park digi paper)
Tools:  Cuttlebug, Die-namics Large Scallop (MFT)
